Rum Cake

Has anyone got a recipe for rum cake that they have tried? I have a bottle of coffee flavoured rum I have brought back from holiday and it is a bit to bitter to drink so I thought I`d put it in a cake.

you could try making a sugar syrup and add it to the rum - drink & enjoy

jd - the trouble is, when you drink it you expect it to taste a bit like Kahlua but it doesn`t - it tastes like Mauritian rum with Nescafe. I think it might end up going down the sink. Good job it was cheap.

Have you tried making a coffee cake and adding your flavoured rum to butter icing? I'm thinking it'll just disappear added directly to a cake possibly x

i've never liked Kahlua but don't mind tia maria in a coffee floater - now there's an idea lol
