OK so I am new to Gin and so far have the following in my collection

Rock Rose
Botanist
Tanqueray
Greenalls
The Lakes
Caorunn

I have also tried and disliked Beefeater and a few others (the names escape me just now)

Can you recommend any others that I may enjoy?

Cheers

Sloe
Bombay Sapphire
Hendricks is supposed to be nice there is also a new distillery on the Isle of Harris I think.

Ooo I forgot I also have Hendricks I love that!
I think my brother drinks it, I think he said it can come with a teacup for some reason or other.
Don't turn your nose up at some rather good "own-brands" as highlighted in this Which? report....

Currently in our drinks cupboard we have
Portobello road
Star of Bombay
Tanqueray no. 10
Sipsmiths
Berkeley square
Hendricks
Caoruun
Ophir
My favourite remains Bombay Saphire, I like the botanicals in it and the smoothness. My other half thinks it has a background taste of soil, rather earthy, but I don't find that at all. His favourite is Tanqueray No. 10 which I find too strong and a bit harsh. Star of Bombay is nice, and portobello road is very acceptable. I dislike Hendricks, the taste reminds me of the smell of privet hedges. Ophir is a spicey gin and they recommend a slice of chilli in it instead of cucumber or lime, which I quite enjoyed for a complete change.
Aldi do a prizewinning gin, the name of which escapes me.
I'm looking forward to trying the Rock Rose one you mention Islay :)
Nothing wrong with Sainsbury's gin IMO @£12 per bottle.
Our daughter Liv recommends this one!

My favourite is Xoriguer made in Menorca although it has very strong herbal undertones that some may not like.
Surely Gordon's should be on the list?
The worst was White Satin, though I haven't seen it for years.
Question Author
Tried Gordon's didn't like it!
The forest gin looks really interesting, I must remember to look our for it on our travels, I saw a programme about it.
Prudie, personally I really don't like Gordon's, too rough.
Beefeater is 40% ABV. Most other brands are 37.5%, unless you can get hold of export gin.
have to laugh, had a look at ael's list and never heard of a single one except for the gin I mentioned above from Mahon in Menorca!
Question Author
Jackdaw all the ones I mentioned apart from greenalls are 41% or above.
Plymouth.
If you ever visit Woodstock, near Blenheim palace, the big hotel there - the Feathers - has a rather special Gin collection, which boasts over 300 different gins.
