Hello!
At the end of last month, a lot of us were down, and only a couple on the naughty step.
I bought a new toy this month, a Polar M400 - which is an activity watch - and a matching set of scales. The scales sync with the watch, and all gets recorded alongside the activity tracking. It then guesses whether you've been eating too many cream cakes (spoiler: yes). It also lets you set a weight goal, and sets your activity requirements based on that.
Maybe it's a bit pointless, but I'm enjoying the novelty so far!
I think it might have some value in the way that you can sometimes forget the sweets or snacks you've snuck in, this might remind me of the activity that I haven't done.
Anyone got a salad to share?
I had a kind of "Thrifty Ceviche" - based on this recipie here - last night. http:// www.ski nnytast e.com/c anned-t una-cev iche/ - it's thrifty because it uses canned tuna. I dropped the avocado and olive oil, and added separate baby leaf salad.
Also been making a warm mixed garlicky greens and smoked salmon thing. This is white-peppered broccoli, green beans, and spinach, steamed in a wok by adding a little water over and over. Once softened, add finely sliced garlic and roughly chopped spring onion. Add a tiny bit of butter to make it richer if you want, (or when you're off the diet!). Tear smoked salmon on top and serve!

Ed...why did you ditch the avocado and olive oil? Both are super healthy fats that your body needs. Unheated olive oil is shown to be very good for heart health, and reducing risks of heart disease.(as reported by Dr Michael Mosely on a recent BBC series on health).Losing weight is no longer about being fat free. ;-)
