I think that youngsters' sugar intake comes from many sources....ketchup being way down the list!

I tend to keep ketchup as an ingredient rather than a condiment.

On the rare occasions I have it, I doubt I'd have more than a teaspoons worth to dunk a few skinny chips in.

Can't say I have noticed it being overly sweet.

I'm partial to some Heinz tomato sauce. I was shocked to read a couple of weeks ago that 3 of the ingredients are from GM foods. Never mind the sugar! Also, high percentage of sodium too. Don't feel like having it anymore...

Patsy33, the link you provided contains many falsehoods and should not be believed. Apart from anything else, if you live in the UK, the ingredients list is totally different from the photograph shown on the website. Distilled vinegar is NOT made from genetically modified corn in the UK simply because the crop can be considered to not exist here.

Salt is salt no matter where it comes from. You can pay through the nose for it in Harrods Food Hall or buy it in Poundland @ two for a pound. It's all exactly the same. There is no such thing as "the cheapest salt".

That's what I seen today on internet. I first read it in newspaper about two weeks ago. I'll have to look into it again. Still has a lot of salt and sugar. I still have it but not too often.
