Has anyone seen any Seville oranges in local markets yet? Sainsburys didn't have any. I prefer not to buy them in the supermarkets

Yes, last week in local market...not many though (perhaps the poor weather in Spain has done for them?)...also in Waitrose last week.
not much help to you, but I got them in local farm shop, but it means they are around.
My organic supplier claims the season's nearly over. They still have a marmalade "kit" on offer.

Thanks. I normally get them in Feb so I will look in the local market when I am around
never buy any vegs or fruits in a supermarket as usually they have been lingering a little long. In a greengrocers - always fresh.

Yes, in my local greengrocers here in Fife, several weeks ago now, they were earlier this year . Made orange curd, and jelly as wel as marmalade.
Local markets round here have had them for a couple of weeks. But you can always keep sevilles in the freezer. I have never had a problem making marmalade with defrosted sevilles. So buy an extra batch while you can.
Waitrose have fantastic organic ones.
I think you are too late now for Sevilles - we buy in January to make
our usual Seville orange and sultana wine! I think it used to be February for marmalade makers, but now it is early in January.
