Don't normally shop in Tesco, but did a detour for several bags of these...difficult to get locally. Made fab mushy peas....excellent value- 70p for 500g made six huge servings.

Strangely enough I sneaked two tins of mushy peas into our shopping trolley at Farm Foods yesterday. Lockwoods brand @29p a pop.
As a kid I hated Pease Pudding and mushy peas but ,have only, in recent 15 years or so grown to like them. Wife hates them but at least she brings me home Butchers own faggots when she visits her Dad in Halesowen.

This is how my Mum used to make mushy peas! Opening a tin is much easier, but they were really lovely.
