Instead of my usual toast and marmalade breakfast I have, for no particular reason, of late been eating a pear instead. I just thought I'd look up the nutritional value and calories in a pear and wow! it seems to be a good choice, so good I thought I must pass this on :0)

The trouble with pears are that they are too hard to eat for days, then one day they change to just right, and 30 minutes later, when you failed to notice peak pear time, they become mush.
OG; I'm eating the variety called Conference which are fairly firm and I prefer to the types which run down your chin and shirt-front.
If you keep them in the fridge, they remain just right for days.
