My homemade gravy is divine too, they fight over the gravy boat - but that's when I've cooked a joint etc - there's never any stock left for freezing into batches afterwards, it all gets devoured.
I don't know if it's still available, but there used to be some sort of 'block' of condensed gravy like stuff. In a yellow plastic container I think.
It was rock solid and trying to cut a slice off it was nigh on impossible!!
(It was then introduced to boiling water from the kettle)
make own if cooking a roast..just add seasoning and a thickening agent maybe bit of something sweet..otherwise granules beefed up with black pepper and honey/port/wine/
