A friend told me she was having this yesterday and that made me think who the hell invented these weird combinations? Obviously some rich toff with much on their hands but the real question is why commoners blindly follow them and exclaim, wow this is great! And fish eggs ( caviar ) as well, do people know how this is produced? Who said “ yeah, I’m going to squeeze a rare fish and eat it’s babies on crackers?” Against some weird toff, no doubt.

Mikey, there are probably various purveyors of fine foods on the internet who will post some out to you. The Spanish call it "mermelada" but I suspect the French call it "confit" so you can google either.

Ozzy, what's a 'mother and child reunion' toastie?

Lol@mikey4444,I said “with autumn here the train just make it in a time for Xmas unless you get the wrong leaves on the tracks” before my words were mysteriously ghosted.
I've been waiting very patiently for that question Tilly ;-)

Chicken and egg!!!.

Add to it what you like, for me it's a bit of sliced tomato and cheese, maybe a lettuce leaf ,with my favourite sauce.
Thanks, Douglas. I don't think I'd like one of those.

Yours sounds a bit healthier, Ozzy.
... no, just spotted the cheese, Ozzy. Not healthier but I can see why you might like them.
Thanks for the link Doug, but, that looks like crap.

Don't ever used crumbed chicken fillets.

Shredded chicken with a runny egg!!!
The shredded chicken on its own would do me. I do like a nice chicken sandwich.
A bit of runny yolk makes it Tilly ;-)
Nah!
Or is the "yolk" on me ;-)
I am off to take Tilly for a walk. When I get back, I might have a fried egg sandwich or a grilled bacon sandwich or I might combine the two and have a fried egg and bacon sandwich. Watch this space!

Bye.
I'm all eyes

Those sandwiches look go manly for me. 1ozzy I had a friend who said we should NEVER eat chickens and eggs together, the reason? It would offend the chicken. Me, but it’s dead and devoid of life and feelings. Him, yeah but still.me,double facepalm.
When I first got chickens we had roast chicken for Sunday dinner. I turned the extractor fan off so not to offend the living ones.
