Gluten Intolerance ?
9 Answers
Recently I have started getting hay fever type symptoms , sneezing running nose watering eyes, after eating bread , now I am getting the same after eating corn flakes , I know both contain gluten but my symptoms do not seem to fit the description of gluten intolerance I have read.
Are my problems likely to be due to gluten intolerance?
I really enjoy fresh bread and would hate to have to stop eating it.

I have none of the classic symptoms , just a sneezing session after eating bread. I do get mild hay fever but only in summer. At first I just put it down to hay fever but that seems very unlikely at this time of year. It's more just an annoyance than anything, but I'm just curious if it could be Gluten causing it.
I am not going to put a link because there are loads, but recently its been discovered that many food allergies in dogs are being caused by food mite allergy, not an allergy to the food ingredients themselves. I don't mean to cause offence but I wonder if that is the problem with you? You might be able to tell by eating the suspect items somewhere else....maybe eat some freshly baked bread straight from a bakery right after you buy it....and see if it gives you the same symptoms. If it doesn't then you have some serious housecleaning ahead of you :(
