Bought three meal deals and got three bottles of their lovely champagne for a tenner each. Multi buys stacked up too, saved about £60. Can't be bad.

Yep. I freeze all these meal deals, even when it says it can't be frozen and it always comes out fine, I think they just cover themselves to be honest.
Actually, one of the puds was a strawberry trifle so I've not frozen that, we'll have it sometime over the weekend.

Their meal deals are very good and in particular when there is wine or champagne on the go too especially with Christmas coming up.

Tilly, if you drink fizz, the champers is a really good offer, you upgrade the wine with the meal deal, for a tenner, to champagne who costs £27 a bottle usually. It's a genuine whopping saving.

Islay, I put three of their ordinary meal deal wines in the trolley at first but then realised it was such a good deal with the champers so swapped them.

Tonight I am having some lovely pork and apple sausages, and some sauteed potatoes, both from this morning raid on Lidl for the bottles of Champagne. Both done in the oven and I can smell them now !

We chose a turkey thingy, a lasagne, and a chicken pie for mains. A layered veg and two fancy garlic bread type things for the sides, and a millionaires shortbread, strawberry trifle, and two Dutch apple tarts for puds.
We had the turkey roast thing tonight, will have the trifle probably on Saturday, the rest has gone in the freezer to have as and when we fancy any of it.
