I bought some Tesco crumpets the other day, had some for breakfast this morning and they were awful. Tasteless and stodgy. No amount of butter could redeemed them :(

“These”
Oooh yeah. Do they fit in the toaster?

I’m not making my own, it takes too long?
that looks like a vote by B00 against Co-op ones, then?
I can vouch that the crumpets shown in Boo's link will fit in a toaster. Although I prefer mine under a hot grill. (Starting to get a bit "racy" again now).
Tried loads of different makes but always come back to Warbies :)
The only ones I have ever tried were from M&S many years ago and they were gorgeous then. Dry,crispy and perfect with melted butter:-)
I can confirm that the warbies megacrumps are indeed quite special.

I also like (when they have them) the Aldi Specially Selected - very thick and need a heck of a lot of toasting - but very buttermilk tasty.

I got Warbies. They were very nice.
