What's the most interesting or complicated or scrumptious thing you've made recently?
I confess, much as I do love cooking (and eating) good food, I've not been very adventurous lately for one reason or another. I really need to make a batch of the famous ragu but can't be arrised at the mo.
I have some Swedish meatballs in the freezer so may make a sauce to have with them this week, don't hold your breath though.

I cook for others 3x per week...and sometimes I'm too darn tired to bother when I get home. That's when a couple of fish fillets or eggs come in handy.

That is an insult. Even I know how to peel and boil spuds. I certainly wouldn't pay that price.
Weetabix in red wine - the breakfast of champions!
Nice Khandro, on the list.
Everyone knows how to peel and boil spuds, jd, but if you've been cooking for others you can't always be bothered to do it for yourself. Also I can never get mine as smooth as Aunt Bessy or Mr Tesco.
I never mash them anyway.
Nor can everyone manage a peeler or sharp knife easily, but we had a whole thread on mash a few days ago.
Aunt Bessie is good with stuffing to ;-)
I never even used to bother peeling them. The first time I cooked for OH I did mashed unpeeled potatoes. He laughed at my incompetence, but not long after that trendy restaurants were doing unpeeled mash. I got there first :)

Casseroled pig's cheeks (long and slow) - the tapa of the moment in Spain and absolutely yummy.
Recently I tried to make seafood salad. It was actually very good. I sprinkled Himalayan pink pink salt on it. You must have known that salt is not good for health. But recently someone suggested me to use Himalayan pink salt for its enormous benefits. So, I have started using it and believe me it is actually good. First of all, it has a very beautiful pink color and its taste is also very subtle. It is known to have 84 minerals and trace elements which are good for our body. You can visit ittefaqco.com to know more about this salt.
