What's the most interesting or complicated or scrumptious thing you've made recently?
I confess, much as I do love cooking (and eating) good food, I've not been very adventurous lately for one reason or another. I really need to make a batch of the famous ragu but can't be arrised at the mo.
I have some Swedish meatballs in the freezer so may make a sauce to have with them this week, don't hold your breath though.

Not a foodie but I am sure a self confessed one will be along shortly. But I had a seafood platter today consisting of scallop, prawn, mussel, langoustine, crab claws and lobster tail.
Jesus on a bicycle, here we go again!
I neither do complicated, nor interesting, but most things seem to be scrumptious. :-)

I am making a rice pudding in my slow cooker today. It smells like heaven.

Oh Islay, that sounds delicious. You can eat all of that can you?
I once had a seafood platter on the French coast that would have fed a family, I have photos of me with a huge plastic bib on, dripping butter down me, on my birthday. You've just reminded me of that ;)
I'd say you were a foodie, why don't you think you are?

There you go Tilly, scrumptious is very important, more so than interesting or complicated really. I love home made rice pud but as I'm the only one who likes it, I never make it as I'd end up eating the whole lot.

Lol, don’t you like food jd?

Watch “man vs food” or “ diners drive ins and dives” and I dare you not to be hungry after watching what our American cousins eat and their portion sizes.

I've never had a Jesus on a bicycle, probably get the spokes stuck in my teeth.....
Jesus on a bicycle...hope it comes with a tasty sauce! ;-)
I think the most complicated thing I ever made was a Charlotte Russe.

It was fabulous but I've never made another one.
They say creme brûlée and scallops are hard to get right on come dine with me.
Scallops. The main ingredient of your posts. Or am I thinking of another word?
I cook so rarely I can't answer for me but have a real foodie in the family - he recently spent 2 days preparing and making a Beef Wellington.
Ooh, Eth. You've just reminded me about the ragu. I must make a batch.
Jackdaw you are a miserable old devil and the nature of this thread is blindingly obvious from the title why piddle on others parade?

I’m cooking one of my favourite dishes tonight Catalan chicken, it has a marinade of garlic, cumin, honey and lemon juice that is finished with white wine and cream to make a sauce.
That sounds lovely, Eccles. Do you fry the chicken?
I've been quite unadventurous lately, maybe the cold dark days have got to me.

Had battered cod, chunky chips n mushies tonight.
Why piddle? I just have, reading some of the hilarious replies here.
Since I spent a fortune on a new kitchen, I've barely cooked anything adventurous. I just CBA.

I must give up work.
Nothing I've read, so far, has made me laugh.

You have a strange sense of humour, Jackdaw.
Fish chips & peas tonight.
I like good old English simple tasty food. Also a curry!
