I wouldn't because I wouldn't enjoy it. I would end up eating it in tentative mouthfuls.

Lol!
I'm sure You'll be fine Patsy Xx
We all have noses to smell and eyes to see! If it looks off and more importantly if it smells off, don’t eat it.

If these two things are adhered to, it’s fine.
Well if she's not, Arky.....you can cheer her with some "jokes"... ;-)
I work on the Fresh Food department of a supermarket chain. I can't tell you how many people, usually in their 20s or 30s, believe that at one minute past midnight of its 'Use By/Sell By/Best Before' it will go bad!

There is a built in safety factor to protect the supermarkets more than the consumer.

We, along with Produce, Butchery, Fishmonger and Bakery, reduce items by 50% at around midday and then down by 75% at about 5pm. You wouldn't believe how many people appear at the sound of the ticket printer; you get fights, people scooping up 5 or 10 of the same item because it's there, or the best one 'what's this then? Oh never mind it's cheap, I'll have it'.

If food goes off then there must be a lot of very ill people that only come in for the reduced stuff.
If it has been kept at the relevant temperature, chilled in this case, then there is no problem i eating it 2 or 3 days down the line.

Don't worry Patsy, you'll still be here tomorrow.

I did tell him just before he was going to eat it gness....
He didn't seem to care..
He hates food going to waste. I usually keep an eye on dates but thought it was 20th today! I've lost a day....
I've lost lots of days this month, Patsy.....age?...wine?....being on AB?....... :-)
Totally agree with you Captain, I have worked in a Co-Op and food regulation is quite strict.and have seen such things on the shop floor when sent to re-stock food suplies. It got a little bit crazy for the poor dear staff at the time... but I was taught not to intervene unless requested too.

Patsy, You mean its not the 20th today?
Question Author
