Sadly, it causes too much acid in my stomach and I'm looking for a drink to replace it without as much acid in. I know most of them have but perhaps a little kinder! One of my little pleasures in life taken away.... By the way, I do take a bpi to control the acid, but eventually it breaks through. Any suggestions? Your own experience perhaps?

Buy good quality Wine rather than 'plonk'. Go to Lidl or Aldi for good value
Avoid dry white wines.
I have a friend who gets acid with white wine, but has no problems with red or rose wine - maybe try those?
White wine spritzer with lemonade worked for me.
Patsy, I feel your pain (and I don't mean your stomach acid).

:-(

My favourite drink right now is gin with sparkling elderflower, a dash of rose syrup, topped up with prosecco. It's a wow drink.

Ps. I've vowed to do dry May :-(

I was thinking a good red wine. To me white wine is more refreshing especially now that summer is coming. Perhaps I could get a sweeter white wine and try that rather than dry, like Danny suggested. Will have to test it all out! :-)
test it all out!
splendid idea!

I've tried spritzers Margo.
NoM, I do like elderflower. Maybe I'll try that. I'm not overly keen on gin though.
Think it's trial and error at the moment.
Good luck with dry May!

Good girl! x
We were introduced to Tinto de Verano(red wine of summer)in Spain last year and I really like it - essentially red wine and lemonade (Spanish version) guess it would probably work with lemonade

Thanks Danny. Very helpful. I must say that Pinot Grigio is a killer when it comes to acid.
Margo. Good idea!
Thank you all.
Patsy, White Zinfandel(a rose) is very drinkable and not expensive.

Will give it a try Danny. Thank you.
That sounds lovely Danny would probably have me on the floor! We are going to Seville in May with a day in Córdoba
