Dessert Suggestions With Blackberry Sorbet

Got a small party tomorrow night (no I'm not happy about "school night" entertaining, but these guests are on a whistlestop tour from the US and it's the only night they can do).

I need to knock up a suitably impressive dessert (which contains no alcohol) in a relatively small amount of time.

Given that I already have some blackberry sorbet, I thought a dessert that would go with that might be good. Current thinking is a white chocolate mousse cake, but that doesnt really inspire me.

THoughts, please?

How about a cheese cake (non bake) so dead easy
Almonds go well so how about a bakewell tart with the sorbet or an apple pie or crumble

mmmmm, cranachan. Think that will be just the ticket!

Rockrose - cheesecake is my substitute for cranachan if the boss (who does he think he is kidding?!) does not approve of first choice.
