Made this today chrissa and it went down a treat!
I tweaked it a bit, used two pots of ready made cheese sauce instead of white sauce and mixed in some double cream leftover from the weekend, and more potatoes than the recipe called for. Topped it with grated cheese mixed with Panko breadcrumbs (the dried ones in a box) simply because I found them at the back of the cupboard.
If I was doing it again..and I’m sure I will...I wouldn’t bother with the hard boiled eggs.
Many thanks chrissa, a really hearty winter meal :)
Ps. I wonder if raw potatoes would cook through enough in it, I did find it a bit of a faff boiling them first and then waiting for them to cool.

It was very, very good Baldric, try it :)
Eth, corned beef?? Cream??? Egg???
It sounds a bit too calorific for me, Eth.
Ha ha. Thanks, ethandron. You’ve made my night. :))

I think it would work with raw potatoes but you’d have to give it a bit longer to cook through. As for the boiled eggs, I love them in it.

My son-in-law loved it, as usual.
No this is my tried and trusted recipe

Don’t you eat corned beef, cream or eggs Sharon, you seem horrified ;)
It’s worth every calorie Tilly, especially on a cold winters evening.
We have more than half leftover for tomorrow night too Chrissa, yum!
That sounds nice too, Tony.
Eth, no not horrified as I love corned beef hash, but it this is a unusual recipe with the eggs and cheese sauce. I usually add potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and loads of herbs and spices.
Mmm Sharon you want to put one in pan for me?
Frankly I can't imagine ever being so desperate for food as to use corned beef in any guise. Should have been left dead and buried in the 1950s
I don't like corned beef either. I used to as a child...corned beef sandwiches with brown sauce smeared on top.

Now, all I can taste is grease, when I eat corned beef.

It is unusual for a corned beef hash Sharon, but when chrissa posted the recipe I thought it looked tasty so gave it a go...and it was very tasty. Yours sounds good too.
When I was a child mum just used to mash up a tin of corned beef into a pan of mashed potato and we’d just have that, with loads of tomato sauce. I loved it.
Just trim the fat off Tilly and make fritters
Tony, no!
Corned beef on a sandwich topped off with sliced tomato and Red onion, luvvely.
Tony, do you eat raw onions?
Yes, Red, Spanish and spring ( Green ) onions.
I bet you like cheese and onion sandwiches as well then.
