Stuff like lettuce and cucumber has pretty much zero nutritional content and nothing in it that you can't get elsewhere. If you don't enjoy raw veg then don't eat it! I dislike most veg and my digestion dislikes veg (and fruit) even more than I do! I do like a salad sometimes and enjoy a mixture of but not all at the same time, sweet peppers, grated carrot, sliced apple preserved artichoke hearts, a little lamb's lettuce, peas cooked and cold or raw, spring onion. But really if you don't like it why bother?
Like woof, I don't care for it much, and neither does my digestion. So, I'm not going to eat it because someone says I should.
Here's a cooked veg salad that looks nice...

At junior school we were forced to eat the food and one of the things I didn't like was salad. Boring lettuce, cucumber, tomato, sliced hard boiled eggs with beetroot (and the juice from the beetroot would turn the egg red) Never touched a salad again until I was 32 and I had one in the US that had lots of interesting things on it. I couldn't eat salad alone - have to have some form of protein on it. Maybe you could try spinach, watercress etc and have something like cajun prawn or sliced spicey chicken on it.

Thank you!! I really really hope I like some of them!!!!!

Adding meat would be fine aswell!!!! Xx
I eat lots of salad and veg, and like the others have said, I suggest you avoid the basic lettuce and cue.

Try mixing grated carrot, thinly slice red onion and tomato with a little balsamic vinegar. Serve on heaps of rocket with some feta cheese, chopped apple and radish.

Go for the three colour rule. If a salad has at least three colours it will be tastier! Green, red and yellow for example, lambs lettuce, yellow pepper, red radish or beetroot. Green, orange and white, baby leaf spinach with grated carrot, orange pepper and celery. And try basil, its dreamy. Add some of the low fat low sugar salad dressings to help flavour your salads and keep experimenting.

Cucumber, toms, onion, mixed peppers in a white wine vinaigrette.

Salt and black pepper

Dave LOL!!!

Cocoa- beans
Beans- salad
- chocolate! Yay!!! Lol x
I like Dave's idea...bacon = yum.
Salad is only good with a great dressing!
Why???
Tinks I feel the same as you (the same as you came out as "samosa" had to retype Grrh!
I make it palatable for me by adding black and green grapes, apple, pear and some nuts, mainly walnuts. Make sure, when you take a mouthful of lettuce, you add one of the nice bits to your fork.
Also add dried fruit like raisins currants and cranberries

Fat trimmed off bacon is allowed! Lol!!

As are fat free dressings!

Time to experiment then! X
I don't mind a Greek salad with plenty of Feta and lashings of Olive oil dressing. Why......... Because I love olive oil and it's the only excuse I can have for drinking it. :-)
If it's just for a healthier diet why not try making your own vegetable soups? Bursting with goodness and filling and most freeze very well.

This is my favourite, and it is fat free
https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/type-of-dish/soups/slow-cooked-root-vegetable-soup, with watercress soup and tomato soup runner ups.
Do you mean you can eat the fat that has been trimmed off bacon, tinks?
