Favourite Sandwich

Well I have not had a sandwich since 27 December 2016!

I am currently drooling over pictures of sandwiches and my favourite was pastrami, gerkins and swiss cheese on rye bread with mayo and mustard.

What's your favourite sandwich filling?

I bought some pheasants and the farmer who'd shot them told me to cover them in marmalade and roast.

At the moment it’s tuna with salad cream and if I need a sugar hit it’s condensed milk.

I had a craving for a crisp sandwich yesterday. No crisps though and no one willing to go to the shop.

I do like my Egg, Bacon, mushrooms, toms, sausage and all kind of breakfast type stuff thrown on... but on occasion you can't beat a fish butty or a beef salad.

Unsalted lurpak
Philadelphia
Strawberries
Cracked black pepper
Drizzle of balsamic

Also very good on a toasted cinnamon bagel.

I used to love banana sandwiches as a youngster with plenty of butter, I never thought of strawberries except jam.

Well we eat pork and apple, turkey and cranberry etc...they go together.

Pork and apple sausages are my favourites I also like Pineapple on gammon steaks, but strawberry sandwich threw me a little.

I'd give it a go. As long as they were finely sliced.

If there was a list of the most frequently asked questions on AB, this one would definitely be near the top!

I'd have to include cheese in any decent sandwich. My two favourites are probably . . .

1. (Discovered in an auction house café in Diss) Cottage cheese, with crunchy peanut butter and celery ; and

2. (Discovered in a London sandwich bar) Stilton and mango chutney.
