Increased Heart Rate And Not Eating
14 Answers
I have been going through several weeks of not eating as much as before and I began to lose weight..several days ago I noticed my rate was was high and I was feeling light headed..it finally got to the point where my heart was racing my arms and legs were tingling and I got so scared I called 911 well they checked me said everything was normal and I told them if my not eating would cause this and they said no? Nothing else has changed besides me not eating only other thing is that I do I have hyperthyroidism and have not been taken my medication. Would this combination have led to this?

Yes minty silly if you have prescribed meds and not taking them. My wife her dosage boxes filled weekly by herself, takes me ages, but she is used to doing them, and I also make sure she takes daily and weekly injections. She has some brain damage, after a severe kidney infection, but I just deal best I can.
Just not taking your medication would cause your heart episodes as its a major symptom of Hyperthyroidism, without the medication your thyroid would start over working again and causing problems. Why were you not taking your medication? It would be foolish to use this condition as a form of weight control.
