..to help these industries during this difficult time.
With this in mind, we’re having supermarket Chinese tonight :/ It’s a chilled thing and won’t keep.
However, next weekend I have some organic rib eye steaks in the freezer which we’ll have, along with onion rings, chips, peas, grilled tomatoes and anything else I can think of.

...crackers and cheese afterwards?
Where possible I buy locally sourced or at least British. It's mostly my spices that come from further away
If it helps, I'm not plugging, just informing really, all Morrisons' steak is half price at the moment (I think the offer lasts until next Tuesday).
Is that 'eat more steak, chips and cheese' compulsory?

Seriously, apparently these areas are really struggling.
We don’t really eat meat these days but have always enjoyed a rib eye steak. Looking forward to it.
I'll definitely have cheese, and do the chips have to be white potatoes? I prefer sweet. I'm not a steak fan, but tonight's meatballs are beef and pork.
One of my 'country' contacts put out a facebook appeal a few days ago because a dairy farmer they knew was having to dump days of milk production. Such a shame.
I have rib eye tomorrow I think, first Jersey potatoes, and salad, including my own microgreens
We have half a lamb leg cooking slowly in Rogan Josh in the slow cooker. Will serve with coconut rice and homemade Naan.

Shoota, yes, I believe the milk industry is really suffering.
We know someone who works/worked at a Costa and they used to have a whole huge fridge full of plastic bags of milk. All closed now. And that’s just one company who used gallons of it.
ok, I will buy some camembert then.
They want to sell more steak, cheese & chips they just need to work with market forces and drop the price. It'll sell.
The problem is getting it processed and into the shops OG with all the lockdown and isolating of workers going on.
That remains an issue anyway.

But if other foodstuffs can make it to the shops, no reason these items can't.
Ranch steaks tomorrow, in the garden if the weather stays good.
Cheesy chips maybe.
