Hell, no. A fresh chicken takes at least 5 hours. Sitting in a warmish pot for hours in its own juices while it thaws is a guaranteed way to get food poisoning.
You can defrost it in the microwave, turning it every two minutes. It will take around 8 minutes per pound.
Or put it in a strong plastic bag and put it in a bowl of cold water. Change the water every half hour - takes about an hour and half.
Check the inside of the chicken before cooking to make sure there is no ice inside.
