They do a bottle of ale that is worth finding .. 'Goudale' is the name if I remember rightly. You will only need two bottles (500ml).. It is 11%
Last timeI was there I had four bottles .. no problem for me, it is only like having four pints !
The next day I couldn't get my head of the pillow .. it must have been the oysters Or something else I couldn't remember eating ?
Gotta have been the oysters, alavahalf.
My dad used to make steak tartare...this was back in the 50s-early 60s. I liked it...I was such a sophisticated child !
Yeah but your from New York though aren't you, pasta ;-)
My Dad used to take me on bike rides up the River Clyde to Rhu where we collected winkles .. this brings it all back to me now. Back then I hated shell fish. It was like eating rubbery worms, how can people eat them .. I will always hate shell fish .. the bike rides were good though!
I bought a jar of coconut "oil" once, never used it. Last week I saw it had separated out, so out it went :-( As a general rule no food gets wasted by me, so I think this must be a unique exception that I'm opting to quickly forget. As for gerkins and olives, they're fine. But oysters are fairly tasteless in my limited experience and it's only the sauce they're served with that makes them worth consuming.
Dr Johnson took a similar view on cucumbers.

"It has been a common saying of physicians in England, that a cucumber should be well sliced, and dressed with pepper and vinegar, and then thrown out, as good for nothing."
The French don't have a word for gravy as they don't make it. As has been said it is simply jus, the juices of the meat. Similarly the French have no word for custard, which they call crème anglaise.
OG - coconut oil has lots of good uses. It's good for oral health. Good for hair and skin. It has a much higher heating temp than normal oil.

If it separates, which it often does in warm weather, stir it and put it in the fridge.
