11A- Your O is wrong. A word meaning a brief affair with a shortened word for a female member of the family inserted will give you an archaic term for peat or sod cutting. It's in Chambers.

22D Your M is wrong. S for "small" then a term for horse, or horse-like shortened by one letter. The solution is also a term meaning a small shiny thing.
