I drink, mainly, fizzy drinks. I go through a lot of plastic bottles and I have limited access to recycling facilities.

I am thinking of asking Santa for a Soda Stream but I am a bit confused about what machine I should purchase.

I don't like fizzy water so the machine would only be used for adding syrup/flavouring. Which machine or range of machines should I look at?

Apart from the few older-style gas bottles available on eBay, I suspect that they're no longer available. Try a phone call to 0800 085 8373 (0900-1700, M-F) to check with the manufacturer.
Chris for the price of the gas bottles Wolf could get that Sodastream in Asda.
Soda Stream make most of their money from selling gas and syrup concentrates anyway, Jennyjoan. (It's akin to printer manufacturers selling their printers cheaply and then charging a fortune for inks). You can even get a free Soda Stream if you sign up to an annual plan for buying gas:

Isn’t this site just brilliant?

Very many thanks Tuvok. I think you’ve found what I thought would be impossible. I’m a bit worried that not all the screw pieces are exactly the same size, but I can check that with the seller.

And thank you Chris for giving me a contact number for the manufacturer. Will ring them tomorrow.
good luck kettledrum - but life is too short for sparkling water - especially you can buy buckets of it in Lidl.
