We strait with a bacon roll and a Buck’s Fizz , can’t imagine doing that at any other time of the year , open presents although that pit will be skipped this year as we’ve decided we only buy for the sake of it and should we want something then we will get it, then it’s to my daughters house , I’ve cooked the Turkey crown on CE, where her and I prep the prawn cocktails and veggies, always have the tv playing Christmas music on a low level, sit down for dinner about 2pm , when I was a small girl the Queens speech was a done thing at 3pm, then we play a board game , my son in law is a terrible cheat ,home around 5/ 6 to comfies and TV like Call the Midwife

Gosh they typos are pretty bad here, Start not strait, anymore will just have to stay :0(
Every day's a Chris day for me, Bobbi ;-)

Christmas Day though will mean getting up at a sensible time (which, in itself, is unusual for me) and giving the cats lots of special grub.

Then I'll drive to the coast to watch lots of nutters taking a Christmas dip in the North Sea.

Upon returning home, I'll have my Christmas lunch (which will be this if I can find a shop that's got it in stock: https://www.cookfood.net/products/Rump-Beef-brandy/ ). I'll also cook some chicken for the cats.

I might open a bottle of something to go with my lunch. (I've got a nice St Emilion Grand Cru waiting to be drunk but I might just have a beer instead).

I'll probably look into AB during the afternoon and, if I can find anything worth watching, view a bit of telly. And/or, I might go for a stroll down by the lake and chat to some of the dog walkers there.

The evening will be more telly and or AB, plus a bit of grub, a few drinks and, of course, treating the cats to some extra-nice grub.
Same for us Dave, but I hope husband will not go outside cutting up wood for the day, or repairing machinery. He's not good at relaxing.

Sounds pretty idyllic Chris , enjoy
Just another day for me nowadays. All the good Christmas days i had are long, long ago in history.Xmas just not the same as it was.Sigh.
I forgot about his daily long dog walk over the fields Chris.
Hi! Well, learned from elder daughter, I will begin the day with some prosecco and left-over smoked salmon from the buffet I will have served to her and family the day before! OH will be usual cereal-ing. :(

Then walk small dog (unavoidable and keeps one grounded) return and make warm drink and open presents. Hopefully there will be time to nip into the pub.

12.00 brings church service - you get to sing the last verse of 'O Come all ye faithful'!

We shall snack-lunch, perhaps visit some neighbours in the afternoon. Walk dog again. Then a telephone-fest and relaxed reading of the books we shall doubtless receive.

For the first time ever I am not doing a roast of any sort. OH doesn't like any fowl really; so we decided that we'd prefer it if I made beef stroganoff - all done properly, flamed off with brandy etc.. As we feel like it I'll get on with that. OH will probably walk dog again and somehow meet someone.......

Very pedestrian, but if you go to live abroad then your kids learn to establish their own Christmas days, we'll see them over Xmas. :)

I've no idea...I'm going up to London...daughter and partner are taking me up on Sunday. So it's the start of new traditions
I am planning on a steak for dinner, but it could change to something more Spicey with pasta and a salad. Husband says he wont be drinking, but I'm sure he'll have a couple of cans in the evening. What an exiting life!!
Have you got the cats sorted Pasta?
Can a tradition be new, Pasta?

(I'm reminded, for some reason, of a window display I saw in Woolworth's not long before they closed down. They were selling 'traditional Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtle advent calendars'. That was part of the Christmas story that I'd missed out on up until then!)
Nowadays, a quiet relaxed day - up when I feel like it and may even turn the TV on during the day. Plenty phone calls and messages exchanged and possibly a short visit or two (depending on latest test results, someone's always waiting for a result).

Plenty nice food and extra nibbles and a few glasses of something good.

Me and my family Will be opening presents a light breakfast and then Christmas dinner watching the queens speech and then whatever we want after that.
Pat@22:07...I've got a sitter, she's coming over tomorrow so we can meet. And it's just for Toby. Bossy Cleo has been living with my daughter since the end of August.
On my own again this year. Just a normal day for me.
Mozz, Didn't you say you’d volunteered with a charitable organisation to help serve those less fortunate a Christmas Dinner and get a free meal for yourself?
Pasta, great news about the cat. Enjoy your holiday :-)
My Xmas . Children and grandchildren . :-)
Who knows what my Christmas Day will be? The plan was me, husband and my dad. But son has just had a baby and wants me to go over there for a few days. It might last til Cmas day and beyond. It won’t be a ‘normal’ Christmas anyway.
