We eat a lot of wet fish but our last fish shop has closed. Can anyone recommend an online retailer that sells frozen fish by post?

Not what you asked but - our local Morrisons has a fish counter.
I haven't used their delivery service but I've been to their shop to buy fish for stews/curries etc and always been happy with it. https://bradleysfish.com/
Iceland fish is always good.

I do buy some fish from Morrisons, dave, but they don't sell the fish I prefer - same with Iceland.
I'll check out Bradley's, thanks 237 - one I hadn't come across/
What fish are you looking for Barry?
Question Author
Sockeye salmon side, brown / sea trout (in season), very large cod loin which I can sometimes get from Morrisons, large hake.
I miss the fishmonger
That Bradley's site looks very good.
Question Author
It does, Tilly. I'll phone later and see if they can do the sockeye sides.
I live fairly near to Bradleys and used to go there to get bowls of jellied eels for an ex LFB colleague - it was always spotlessly clean abd service was excellent. They are a highly respected company around here - been present for many years. Hope this helps.

Thank you, FBG
Bradleys is very good. We ordered Cod Loin from them during the first lockdown scare, when our local fishmonger(Mermaids) could not give us a delivery slot. Good quality but they only do the pre cut portion size fillets. Like Barry we like to have the full Loin fillet and cook it whole. Mermaid only deliver to N. Wales and we like to call in because we know them. Whenever we do call there are always, but always, people of Oriental extraction there buying up all the fish types that we tend not to eat. We also love the Salmon fillets and Sardines in the summer months. Delish. and they fillet them if required. Butterfly fillets or single fillets.
Question Author
Why would they only do pre-cut portion sizes? Probably the fish are filleted and frozen at sea. I can't be doing with little pieces of fish.

Ha ha - just seen this on one fishmonger's site
FREE delivery on orders over £1,500.00
The Kingfish, on the Bradley's site, looks very much like a fish we used to buy in NY Chinatown many years ago. It was called Jew fish...dont ask me why.
Each one yields exactly a pound of flesh, pastafreak.
I always thought that the Kingfish was closely related to Mackeral, but much bigger, and that it was the Pacific Grouper that was called a Jewfish. Seen the Kingfish landed in Cornwall on occasion.
You're correct Togo. I googled Jew fish and it's a grouper and quite a large fish. Found off the coast of Florida and Mexico. A very meaty fish.
It can be a bit confusing though Pasta. Because in certain parts of the World they call the River Grouper a Kingfish whereas the Ocean going Atlantic Kingfish (Scomberomorus cavalla) has always been known as King Mackeral or Kingfish in most European countries. I do believe that when there is a prolonged hot spell that they will follow the elver from the Saragosa sea that head our way to inhabit some Rivers.
There is also a Jew fish in Australia, but it's a totally different species.
We see mobile fishmongers in and around our area, Wednesdays at the farm shop, Tuesdays outside the garden centre, Thursday at the market in the town.

Is there anywhere likely to have similar near to you Barry?
