LordMG has requested homemade chicken pie with vegetables and gravy.

Washed down with a glass of wine, whilst watching Strictly. I still don't know who's in it this year so no spoilers please.

Something that uses up a few of my home grown courgettes, so probably courgette, leek and tomato pasta.
Baked chicken thighs with a bottom-of-the fridge herbs covering them, plus salt and lots of pepper, some tagliatelle and then steamed Duchy organic cauli, baby courgettes and carrots, and fine green beans Followed by rasps, meringues, cream and Waitrose's brilliant rasp and vanilla coulis...and maybe a splodge of Cornish ice-cream.

Very civilised, DT.

That sounds good, Maydup. I love Mediterranean vegetables.
What are bottom of the fridge herbs?
Nothing comes between me and Strictly, so it's chilli made earlier and packet microwave rice (I'm hopeless with rice)
Prawn and mixed vegetable stir-fry with firecracker sauce and egg noodles. Blackcurrant cheesecake. Glass or two of (inexpensive but rather good) Romanian Feteasca Regala, which goes well with Asian food.
Not sure yet, not been to the food bank. Running late.
herbs that have been in the fridge a wee while but not yet kernackered.... rosemary/lemon thyme/ coriander....
Oh okay. Thanks.

MT, have you tried Merchant Gourmet's Spanish Grains? They're perfect with chilli.

That sounds very nice, gingejbee. I'm not a sweet-toothed person but I suddenly fancy cheesecake.
Every Saturday Mr Tigerlily and I have a Turkish meze.
No but I'll give them a whirl LadyCG
I am having a ham and cheese pie with potatoes and vegetables with brown sauce, and for pudding a mousse. Lovely.

Very nice, William. Do you make your own pastry? I cheat I'm afraid.
Pasta with a low fat sauce and a lot of full fat cheese, a pile of salad, maybe I will open a bottle of red, although I don't normally drink alone.
LadyCG. No i do not make my own and buy them at Tesco. I have no culinary skills so the easier i can make it all the better.
We've been out all day so I put a beef casserole in the slow cooker this morning. I'll do some mash to go with it. Maybe will have some homemade brownies with vanilla ice cream afterwards.
Pizza , with a garlic base .
Toppings including pineapple .

Honest
Chinese takeaway. Long time since we had a takeaway! Gives hubby a break from cooking.
Had to cook up some beef chunks I had in fridge last night. Will put in casserole dish in about an hour, with 2 jars of Patak madras curry sauce mixture. Usually have chicken, so this Will be a nice change.
