Good Morning Early Birds
37 Answers
Good morning birdies, I hope you are well-rested.
We had a lovely meal out last night but I was so tired towards the end of the evening - I didn't take much rocking last night.
What does everyone have planned for today? Whether it's BBQ, Sunday roasts, picnics, crosswords, visiting family or just vegging out, have a superb day!

Dog walked in a beautifully cool forest and now for a couple of hours of peace before work.
I've got a banging head this morning which I accredit to three hours spent on the Underground yesterday, a trip I could have well have done without. The heat was unreal :(
Hope all are well and have a fabulous day xx

Good morning, divegirl. I've been struggling with the heat myself, being of a certain age. OH stole my fan last night which I keep by my laptop as his father was having a hot flush (he's on hormone therapy for prostate Ca) and I've just managed to find it and return it to its rightful place.
The little one decided to climb in with us in the middle of the night but with three in the bed it was unbearable and it wasn't long before he was carried back into his own room.
Going to any interesting, far-flung places this year? I seem to recall you are quite the seasoned traveller.

Morning all, grey, misty and damp down here for the moment - and very humid. Hopefully it will lift by mid-morning. Working again this evening, last one for a couple of days anyway. Otherwise, nothing much on - may go and wring a chicken and stuff it full of herbs before putting its feet to the fire....
I was supposed to be going to Columbia this year but got a dog instead lol The daughter and I are still planning to go at some point but between the hound, parrots and chickens I find it hard to ask my son to take on the responsibility for all of them, a girl can dream though ;)
A handy hint for the heat is to wet a sarong and go to sleep under it, it soon dries and as someone who has to sleep under something I find it works well :)

Morning, DT. I do hope it does lift and become more comfortable for you. Chicken stuffed with herbs sounds good. I think we're having a bit of a BBQ of sorts here but won't know for sure until OH wakes up. I'm not even sure if FIL is coming today to work in the garden.
What will you serve with the chicken, DT?
Colombia sounds fantastic, divegirl. I've long wanted to go myself. In-laws stopped in Cartagena as one of their ports of call on a cruise. They loved it. I've heard it's a beautiful country. We're looking at doing a multi-centre trip maybe in a year or two. I did get a quote for a two-week trip to Dubai, Maldives and Singapore and it wasn't as expensive as I thought, but I wasn't crazy about the accommodation choices. Oh well, there's plenty of time yet.
I do appreciate that the Dr Doolittle set-up probably hinders your ability to just book and go ;). We had a little dog turn up yesterday apparently out of nowhere. I was working away on my laptop, looked up, and there was a little Shi tzu running around the garden. OH had been taking rubble from the back garden through the utility and the garage and the little sweetie must have come in that way. There was no one about so we didn't have a clue who she belongs to. In the end a lady in the cul de sac around the corner who has three dogs of her own took her and I guess they'll take her to a vet on Monday to see if she is microchipped.

Oh dear I am sorry to hear that, Welshy. Sometimes you can just lose your balance when you stand up. I suffer with postural hypotension so it's happened to me and I've collapsed outside of the bathroom when getting up in the night to spend a penny.
Good morning, Bobbi. That sounds most convivial. What time should I get there? ;)

It sounds like it will be a very enjoyable get-together.
I wouldn't mind going out for the day but OH has too much work to do in the garden if we're going to have anything worth sitting in this year and I've got to keep working to pay for it all.
Have you much more mischief planned for your final days in the sol?

You mean Costa Teguise :0)))
We’ve a few things lined up that we four have talked about and chewed over and changed frequently haha, we’ve been so many times here that it’s like home from home and finding new stuff is almost impossible so we just go along day to day and have lots of fun and laughs along the way
