No, TCL. It isn't. Corn dog is nothing like corned dog. Corn dog is what you describe. Corned dog is another name for corned beef.

Given the fact the product has, "Corn Dog" in its name and it resembles a hot dog, I am fairly confident my first post is correct.

I've never heard canned corned beef called corn dogs. I think the product in question is as in the link posted by ubasses.

Just to drag this out a little bit; sorry TCL but Corn Dogs are absolutely nothing like Corned Dog. Corned Dog is corned beef. The "dog" being reference to the cattle, ie, doggies, one of the names cowboys use.

Corn Dogs are what you describe, as I've said. Right I'm off. Start the car.
