"between London and Cardiff" is the deception, and if in the excitement of the quiz you miss "alphabetically", there's your answer.

It doesn't say that, it says between "Cardiff and London" - the two limiting parameters are quoted in alphabetical order and are preceded by the word "alphabetically". Hard to see how anyone could think that is an "obvious deception". I sense my superpower is in effect again here.

The thing is margo, I have this superpower. I can make normal people, of at least slightly above above average intelligence, pretend to be thick, in order that they can be contrarian to me.
