Interest rates are going down at the moment and I've been trying to find the best rates.

However when I look online it's with banks and companies I've never heard of before.

How do you know if they are legitimate or not?

Have  a look at thisismoney.co.uk (part of the daily mail)  They have savings rates tables and I have always found them to be ok

You could try Wednesday's Daily Mail (every Weds)...a large Money Mail pull-out has all the latest rates from trustworthy companies.

Check whether they are covered by the Finsncial Services Compensation Scheme

https://www.fscs.org.uk

Pop the name in the box to be sure you will be covered if something goes wrong

I have a couple of accounts with OakNorth, check their rates see if there is anything that appeals.

I'd never heard of them but the customer service is top notch

Thank you.

The Daily Mail seems to be the order of the day.

I always trust the Money Saving Experts.  Check their top rates here

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/

Just go for NS&I.

Rates not too bad (direct saver is 4% at the moment) and you dispense with the worry.
