Drainpipe?

The mouse took it to do it's strength exercises on.

Listen for a mouse/rat dragging a trap on its tail.

A mouse can get through the tiniest of holes.  What bait are you using?  Do not go for cheese or chocolate, sometimes they can nibble away without setting off a trap.  Try peanut butter.

Oh, you mean the trap has gone?

I am not joking it's gone, yes the mousetrap, using chicken as bait. The mouse might get through ba small hole, but not with a mousetrap in tow.Any decent answers, please?

Why did you set a mouse trap in a greenhouse?

To catch a green mouse.

But you need green cheese as bait.

Try asking the other occupants of your house if they know anything about the trap's disappearance. Sit them in a corner and shine a bright lamp in their face.

bookbinder; That is the sort of reasoning that the TV police advisor, Monk, would have made, - well done!

It did cross my mind to say, 'kids'!
