Those stainless steel thingies which you rinse your hands with under a cold tap and can get in Lakeland, are very effective or you could try rubbing each hand with a big chunk of fresh lemon.
I use the stainless steel soap, it works. you can get them in morrisons for about 1.99
fresh lemon slices work well and are cheap enough. Just rub them over your hands and then wash off with soap.
Just washing your hands whilst holding a piece of stainless steel cutlery works for me

..yup inapickle is right, salt is what I use, just make sure you havn't any cuts!...
If your skin is dry after washibg like the above use a cider vinegar wash or spritz and it really softens the skin
easiest way is to wash your hands in cold water after cutting them so your pores don't open up and injest the smell. Always work for me also works with garlic too.
Rub your hands with lemons or some lemon juice. Then wash with soap.
Why not just use those thin plastic gloves like the ones that doctors use. I always use them for my gardening too.
