Just had my renewal through, me and err indoors break down and relay, £328! I thought that was taking the proverbial so I did a quote as someone else and it was £192. So I got on line to their renewal mob and asked why my 9 year loyalty was being punished! Got the renewal for £160 in the end.

So when the renewal comes through challenge it.

why bother - Jaaags never break down do they 🙄

TTT, have you ever had to use them and if so were you satisfied with their response?

They had every intention of only charging you £160, oldest trick in the book, inflate the price then come down if they are pushed, it gives you the satisfaction that you have got one over on them. You've still been done. <:0)

I haggle every renewal from insurances to broadband.

I had an unacceptable AA increase and reduced mine by having my car covered not me.  For years I'd unthinkingly been paying extra on the off chance I'd be in someone else's car that broke down when presumably they'd have their own cover.

11:20 good point but I also have 5 other vehicles. Of course the AA is unique in it covers the person not the vehicle that's the vital point.

11:21 yes, last two times have been on my GPZ. I was grateful for their assistance.

They are not unique in covering the person.

Rac cover the person also.
