maple syrup products

does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

I went out today with a straw trilby hat on as advised by all and sundry. What a mistake! When I got home I took it off and I literally poured with sweat and hair was soaking! Never again! Although to be honest I didnt feel that hot when out!!
So many more covid cases here now. New laws in to morrow. No.pool parties ( luckily ours is too small for more than 2 people!) No smoking in public. This all suits me! But I'm being selfish I guess!

oh gah ... OH drove to hospital for a blood test this morning ahead of the next chemo session, only to fail the temperature test and be told not to go in, so now has to go to A&E. Highly unlikely to be Covid, I would have thought, as OH seldom goes out and is always masked and gloved, and more likely a response to pills. But who needs the extra worry :-(

OH is exhausted and distraught, but has slept most of the day since getting back. (I have been napping on the sun lounger myself.) I suppose the thermometer was on the blink. These were two different hospitals as the first one doesn't have A&E, so there's been a lot of running round

Warm and overcast here today and there was a slight shower earlier but we've not had huge amounts of rain like other parts.

Good evening, here I is, thought I'd better show my pixels.
I'm ok, just up and down, the heat made me feel lousy and I usually cope reasonably well. I'm dizzy as hell, I don't know what that's all about, and my feet/ankles are covered in sore blistery flea bites, yuk. I've been on cat duty for a neighbour, the poor thing must have had them before she went and now the house is infested (hers, not mine). Tut. All in all I feel grumpier and more despondent now than I have for the whole of this covid situation but, hey ho, I'll get over it. If I hear any more about exam results I may self combust. I'd like my handful of O Levels to be changed to degrees please. :) Oh, and my birth certificate could do with some amendment too...like making me 20 years younger.

Sorry you OH had a setback. Chemo plays havoc with your body thermostat but I suppose everything has to be double checked now. Great news about the forthcoming grandbaby, start saving, you know you'll spoil her.

Hope you're all ok and flea free, don't want you to be shaving off your tresses :) It hasn't stopped raining today...but the sun will come out tomorrow....p'raps.

sorry to hear about your tribulations Robi. The flea thing happened to me while I was at work its awful. Yes I don't do hot weather either. Hopefully you are feeling better now its cooler. We certainly are here.

Evening all. Poor OH. My sister won't get her BCC results until 18 september! Sorry to go on but it is unimaginably hot here, how I've done 49 summers is beyond me! We went out for lunch but I just couldnt eat 3 courses as it was stifling. Only picked and brought my lamb chops home, cant waste them! As we were sitting there MrNs phone starting pinging and our internet provuder said we had subscibed to 4 apps which will cost us money. I would gave blamed Mr N but it was happening right under my eyes. They did this during lockdown and hija sorted it and they apologised and refunded us but really I just can't handle it . Heat, covid and old age just isn't fair on anyone!

Where is Robi? Hope she is ok and also the rest is us and spouses! Just out of interest did you know that handcuffs in Spanish means wife!

Oh hello Robi glad you are ok ish. Flea bites yes I rather suspect my feral outside cat has them but won't let me near her to spray. I have itchy ankles when I get near the damned cat! They live in concrete also do you know? So I now hose down the outside terraces with soapy water, none in the house so far fingers crossed.
