Recycling corks
11 Answers
Hi! I've got quite a collection of wine and champagne corks (at least a bucket full) and although I use them as crocks in the bottom of my plant pots, I was wondering whether anyone else had any other ideas for using them. It seems such a shame to just throw them away. Many thanks!

As a keen gardener that's my fave so far. And I have considered the cork board idea but quite honestly haven't got around to it yet. I also always keep sharp scissors and craft knives shoved into corks to be on the safe side but forgot about that!
if you have kids, you can slice them into discs and use as counters or similar, marking them with a felt tip, or just for glueing onto pic frames etc
also thread onto cotton for a 'bead' curtain. or small ones over windows to keep out flies like aussie hats.
also try what monsters dad said but make a mat for the bathroom floor
if you have a garden pond you could make a floating plant pot, by glueing a load together onto a pot
Am suddenly feeling in a flippant mood, so suggest you glue them all together and build a raft. When global warming increases and all the icebergs melt, most of the UK will be submerged. You will then an ideal floating Noah's Ark and can charge the rest of the population exhoribant sums for rescuing them !
