I hated swede and tried to hide it under my knife and fork,,,,but loved the chocolate cake and custard.

Did you ask the dinner ladies serving it for "as much as possible" or "as little as possible"..but always got the same amount??

chips, gravy, burger and a can of coke
I was in primary school from 1944 till 1950 and once or twice a week we had hot-pot. I'm thinking of it now and I can still recall the taste. I have eaten lots of different foods in different countries since then and have never tasted anything half as good as that hot-pot. This includes my wife's excellent stovies. Ah! nostalgia.
Frog spawn (sorry, tapioca). They must have got all these dinnerladies from a detention camp, it's a wonder we're not all in therapy.

In primary school i used 2 love this pink sponge cake stuff, i have no idea why it was pink but it was my favourite thing. The custard was rough tho. I used 2 hate the water in jugs on the middle of the table. It was so warm i could never drink it and always went thirsty.

In secondary school i loved battered bread, that was so weird and nice yum!
