Has anyone else evr tried these ? I have been doing them for years but everyone says " Yukkk " when I tell them.

They are fab with the occasional treat of a good old full english breakfast. Add a cup of them to the frying pan when you have finished cooking in it. toss the corflakes around for a few minutes so they don't burn and then tip onto kitchen paper. Added to the side of the plate they are yummm. The kids love them, but I don't do them very often as they are fattening.

do you cook them in bacon fat? or butter?

Sounds yummy!

I often try weird concoctions myeslf and they sometimes turn out nice. Ive tried mixing mash potato flakes to baked beans, cooking pasta in milk. cornflakes mixed with rice pudding is always nice.

You can cook them in whatever you have been using in your frying pan. But they are much nicer if you have been frying sausages and bacon, the cornflakes take on the flavour of whats left in the pan.

I use crushed cornflakes instead of breadcrumbs when doing chicken drumsticks - flour, egg then roll in crushed cornflakes. Brush with oil then bake in a hottish oven till cooked (30 mins or so). Sounds weird but delicious - children love them and much better for you than KFC

eat your heart out Colonel sanders!

Cornflakes are great on top of a pasta bake and covered with cheese..mmmmm!
