Where do Easter eggs come from?

Eggse the universal symbol of Easter celerations throughout the world. In Pagan times, the egg represented the rebirth of the earth after a long hard winter and the egg seemed to mirror life springing into action. Christians embraced the egg symbol and likened in to the tomb from which Christ rose. Old Polish legends combined folklore with Christian tales, One legend concerns the Virgin Mary and tells the tale of how Mary gave eggs to the soldiers at the cross. She begged the not to be so cruel and she wept. Her tears fell on the eggs as brilliant spots of colour.
