Mallowy biscuits

Got into a daft conversation about biscuits, remember rectangular biscuits with blobs of mallow on top, net says they're mikados, but no what i remember them as! Any ideas? Remember round ones too, different colours, cant find them at all!

the round ones were coconut mallows in pink and white wren't they, but i remember the rectangular ones as well

I remember those!! But im sure they weren't called mikados.Mallows rings a bell with me too tho.

..I think they were called jamboree?, oblong biscuit, a little apricot or rasperry jam, blobs of orange or pink mallow and a little orange or pink coconut on the top?....

they are called kimberley mikados- you still get them in Ireland but I dont think they do them in the UK anymore. They are magic! They have coconut sprinkled on top too YUM !

I loved those biscuits!!! I used to pull one long blob of mallow off, and stick two blobs of jam on one end and hey presto! A caterpillar! Haven�t a clue what they were called though�

They sell them in my local shop (tho God knows where he gets them as he sells practically everything and most of it has foreign labels!). They are rectangular with blobs f marshmallow and jam down the middle sprinkled with coconut. Mmmm.

The biscuits your talking about are made by Jacobs biscuits they still are really popular in Ireland.

Mikados are rectangular woth mallow piped down each side with raspberry jam down the middle and covered in coconut. Kimberly are two round ginger soft biscuits which are sandwiched together with mallow which is sugared, and Coconut Creams are a round biscuit topped with a blob of mallow either pink or white or pink and dusted with coconut. They also brought out chocolate kimberlys mmm. The following site has some info and images.

There were defo called Jamborees, we used to get boxes of reject Jamborees and I ate tons of them when I was little ;o)
