(I earned one and threepence an hour, old money) and we had to take it in turns to empty the one and only toilet, which was the old bucket type. We hated doing it, so we used to leave it so long that it would be full to the brim.
I don't think 13 year old girls would do that now, do you?

Mine was working as the supervisor of the childrens department at clarks shoe shop. I hated it from the minute I walked it. From being kicked in the head, to cleaning up sick to trying to get some screaming to try a shoe on while it's parent just sits there and laughs. I still have nightmares about that place.
I have had a few horrible jobs, all due to filthy people, we had one last year where tenants had been evicted, when we went in the house the Toilet was full to the brim, the basin was full of puke, dog turds on every window sill, kitchen sink full to the top with tea bags that had a sort of jelly on the top, kitchen floor like a minefield of dog turds, like hop scotch, and when the kitchen units were taken out about 1000 cockroaches scrambled across the floor, just one of the jobs we encounter every month, the joys of the building trade, how luck I am.
I haven't really had any bad jobs! I guess the worst was... Nope... I can't think of one! They all had their good points too! Even working at the local Football ground.. my boss was a pervert and he went to prison for abusing one of the girls but I liked the job. Got to see all the footballers and we were there when they were showering afterwards :o)
Burger King. I lasted 6 weeks aged 16. I was getting used to people fishing old burgers out of the bin (in their wrapper) close to closing time, because they couldn't be bothered to turn the grills back on (and this included the managers). But when someone had deliberately cr@pped all over the toilets, and *I* got asked to clean it up, that was the last straw.
mine was working as a pot washer in a restaurant...bottom of the pile in every sense. i was really lucky and got to take all of the rubbish out, mop all the floors, and clean everyone's work areas and well as be up to my elbows in left over gravy...yummy. the final straw was when the disinfectant dispenser broke and squirted it in my eyes. i went blind for about half an hour so asked if i could go home..i got tutted at and asked 'well who's going to wash up now?' thanks for that boss
working in a cheap chicken and chip shop, floring chicken (Some of it obviously unfit to sell but i was forced) and being greasy and smelling like fried chicken all day. Only good thing is that my best mate worked with me.I was even made to wear a chicken suit, dressed up as a rooster and walk around putney high st like a right old lemon. The suit was hot and dirty where it had been worn before, and i was relagated from the till to the fryer as i refused to be in a good mood. And all this for 100 per week cash in hand. Ugh. Glad to see the back of those henny penny fryers..2 chicken n chips anyone?
For a publishing firm, used to type up manuscripts, boring, boring, boring, it was awful the other girls would arrive really early and knock off about 2:30 leaving me still there, the boss stank horribly, we used to hate having to go in his office. After nine months of doing the job (having been praised for picking it up really well) the girl who "left" to be a full-time Mum changed her mind and wanted her job back, so the boss started picking on me to get me to resign, even said he'd make it worth my while to hand in my notice. Knew what he was up to and told him so, even went to the Union but the boss there and mine were as thick as theives. On principle told him he'd have to sack me 'cos I wasn't handing in my notice I'd get no dole money. Job centre couldn't help because I'd only been there 9 months. Bummer.
