Does hard boiling an egg destroy the protein in its white? If it does, can anyone tell me how long to boil them, so that this is avoided.--Thanks in advance.

To be fair I don't think it is a problem whether you destroy the protein or not since it will soon be broken down into it's constituent amino acids (in the gut) then reconstructed into new proteins (in the cells). It is vitamins that the body cannot construct de novo which you should avoid destroying.
no-he protein changes form but is not destroted.
no. It is "de-natured" (as incitatus correctly states) which means it changes form and cannot be returned to the "runny" form - but the protein remains as usable by your body. If you're wondering why athletes/body builders eat eggs raw it's out of convenience - easier to crack and drink than mess about cooking them
