I love Mexican food and am looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant anywhere around London. I normally go to Los Locos in Covent Garden which i highly recommend but it wouldn't hurt to try somewhere new?? Thanks
Nearly all 'Mexican' restaurants in the UK are more properly described as Tex-Mex, or an American take on Mexican food. Los Locos is one of the better ones and it's a good night out but it's not truly Mexican.
Abut 20 years ago, there was a Mexican restaurant in Fulham Palace Road: the food was lovely. However, the British public didn't seem to like Mexican food and it went bust after about 18 months. I've been looking for another one ever since but haven't had much joy.
There used to be Break For The Border - don't know if it's still there, was at St Giles Circus (where Oxford street meets Totteneham Court Road/Charing Cross Road).
Navajo Joe's is in Covent Garden too. Only went there once and just had a snack. Quite a trendy place and the service is pretty good! Think it is on King Street. ;-)
