I bought a 4 pack of chicken fillets lastnight and stupid me popped them in freezer together when I should have wrapped them individually while I could separate them. This morning I tried taking one out to defrost and they are all frozen together. Is there any easy way of separating these without having to defrost the whole lot?
you can't defrost then refreeze raw meat, but if you cook it you can then refreeze it, don't ask me why though but i do this all the time i make a big batch of curry or whatever then freeze it all so i can just grab a partion when i fancy it
Yes you can re heat any meat that`s been cooked & frozen. Make sure it`s thoroughly reheated though. My husband`s been a butcher for over 40 years, so I always ask him if I`m not sure of anything re meat. Not much I don`t know by now lol
Most of all my frozen cooked meat is curries or stews and you can either reheat these in the microwave or in saucepans on the cooker. I think I have recooked meat in the oven (once defrosted of course) but you can't do it for too long as it will dry out. You are simply reheating the meat not cooking it again. Hope this helps.
