Roselle is live n kickin in social work/ education etc establishments all over Scotland! It is a cream alternative (supposedly!) supplied by contacted catering suppliers. If you actually want to get some, I think I've seen it in Makro. But perhaps you'd better stick with your memories!!
I don't know the recipie but if you slowly simmer a can of condensed milk in boiling water for half an hour you will get your lovely Butterscotch flavour goo
This is a fast safer version of the Banoffee Pie recipe (Butterscotch Pie + bananas) - I'm a bit wary of unopened tins in boiling water for about 3 hours. whttp://www.ivillage.co.uk/food/tools/recipefinder/ display_recipe/0,10193,4032,00.html?
I do have the original Butterscotch Pie recipe - please let me know if you would prefer this - as it'll take a while to copy out.
