I have been to M+S a few times to do my shopping and don't find it any more expensive than tesco or sainsburys (unless you buy their economy brands which I don't). In fact i have found that sometimes my shopping workds out cheaper sometimes, and some individual items are less expensive than in Tesco.

Unfortunately M+S is not handy for me so I don't use it all the time, but there is a new one opening soon across the road from my local Tesco, and I shall be using it every week once it opens!
I do my 'basic grocery' shopping - tea, coffee, sugar, washing powders and so on at Tesco but do use M&S and Waitrose for special treats.

I love M&S beef wellingtons and duck a l'orange, for example, but only have them 3 or 4 times a year.
M&S traditional corned beef - brilliant, and lowish fat (8%) for corned beef.

Their baked beans are easily up there with Heinz and Branston.

Fresh and cooked chicken, beautiful.

Salad cream is the best.

You will sometimes find sea bass, try it baked in tinfoil.

I'm a total fan, and even if it is slightly more expensive than Tesco for example, I only have to bear in mind what I spend on beer.....
very posh shopping in m , s,
This is no ordinary question,it a love filled question with all the trimmings,on a summery day, while young bunny rabbits play happily in the field beyond.
NAA M & S is just too expensive...stick with ASDA!!!! lol.
Aberdeen Angus burgers! Absolutely jaw droppingly good!

Their californian sushi gave me food poisoning though...to this day I cannot even think of soy sauce.
I do my weekly shop there and because I don't get distracted with CDs etc it doesn't work out any more expensive (we only have a Simply Food). Also, if you work long hours something's got to give and Tesco is about to take over the world in my part of North Yorks so I try not to shop there.
I also love Waitrose but M&S is cheaper.
M & S Coleslaw is to die for, not the reduced calorie one but the full mayo, carrot, onion and cabbage one.....absolute heaven.

I suppose it is more expensive than Tesco food etc, but its very good quality stuff. I'm the one who eats it, though, not buys it or cooks it (mum does that).
