i have tried it with salt its nice as well, but am i right is it more of a scottish thing to do?
I put a pinch of salt in mine and cook it in the microwave as the bowl is easier to clean afterwards. I sometimes add sultanas & runny honey for a change.
I cook mine in the microwave.I eat porridge for breakfast every day winter and summer. One of the super foods and good for the old cholesterol .I make it in a jug the night before with one part oats to two parts milk and water. I use Oatly milk.Throw in a handful of sultanas and some chopped apricots.Leave in the fridge .Stick in the microwave in the morning for three and half minutes ,put it in bowl ,sprinkle with cinnamon and eat ..Yummy!
I add a drop of vanilla essence.
yes mccfluff where it is eaten properly
all that sweet stuff added makes me feel sick next youll all be saying add sugar to haggis and neeps
Believe me....we won't be eating any of that rubbish
Microwaved with Dark Brown Sugar
My gaffer microwaves it and just as it as it comes. I'm with Kerplunk 'golden syrup'
If you have an Aga - oats, cold water, sugar, stir, lid on and put in bottom (slow) oven overnight (at least 8 hours).
Ready to eat and no fuss.
I cook mine on the hob. I like it with raisins, honey and grated apple. Yummmmmmmmy.x
Make it in a pot, ( Its the only true way ), and add a pinch of salt during cooking - once it is in the bowl you can do, ( or add), what you want with it ! Hard@it
