Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell of kippers in the house?

I find that some of the fragranced candles (in glass containers) that you can buy from the air freshener section ambi pur/airwick/glade etc are very good at eliminating strong smells. There are quite a few to choose from, fragrance wise, and are quite effective if left burning for 1/2 hour or so.

Yes naz, but it is a very effective way of eliminating any smells from microwave - always use that method myself !

Kippers !!! Oodles of white pepper and chilli sauce.

Brilliant, especially the boneless ones that John West and Princes breed for their tins.

I just let the smell dissipate gradually, I love it. The lingering smell of cooked leeks is far more difficult to banish.

I find that a thick slice of onion, usually works. I use it when I've been painting, to get rid of the smell.
